Players can change the visual appearance of the game before starting a race, such as the weather and time of day.

The Stunt Driver course in San Francisco allows the player to gain experience in stunt driving for a Hollywood movie, using the Ford Mustang Fastback. The Cab Driving School in London follows an extremist view of a London cab driver, where a player must complete objectives in a London cab. A Crash Course can be completed in each of the cities. Winning Blitz, Checkpoint and Circuit races allows the player to access unlockables, and the Cruise mode lets the player roam freely around the two open world recreations of London and San Francisco. There are Blitz, Checkpoint, Circuit, and Cruise modes, which are all derived from the original Midtown Madness game. The game features a range of vehicles that can be driven around London and San Francisco. I had this game since 2004.A Freightliner Century participating in a race With that being said, please enjoy!Fun fact: I have a photo of me driving the Ford Mustang GT in San Francisco in this game. There are beta versions of this game that can still be played, but I will make gameplay videos of them sometime later. Because of that, I have a preference for this one, but I should say that Midtown Madness 1 and Midtown Madness 3 (only for the original Xbox) are fantastic as well.

Notably there are different outcomes in both Amatuer and Professional modes, so I played in Professional mode because I wanted this walkthrough to feature a complex level. This is personally my favorite Midtown Madness series game because the music, the gameplay, and the choices of vehicles are great. So, if you want to save stress in Professional mode, I would suggest starting off with the London races. Because I was playing through this game in Professional mode, I wanted to start off with the London races because you get to unlock the Panoz GTR-1, the fastest car in the entire game, in one of the checkpoint races. So, this is my first walkthrough to last longer than two hours. Including the time I spent on Cruise, this walkthrough is up to nearly six hours (whoa!). I did my best to make this a 100% walkthrough.

Going back to talking about the gameplay itself, I should say, depending on how long you play this game, it takes approximately three and a half hours to complete it at 100%. Though I forgot to cut out a few scenes from this walkthrough (like how I had to get the announcers the way I wanted in a few races). I drove all twenty vehicles which I unlocked, and also showcased their custom paint jobs that were also unlocked. For the lessons and races where I made several attempts, I had to have them cut out in Sony Vegas because it was for viewing pleasure. In San Francisco, "Floor It!" that seemed to be the hardest of all the circuit races, but I managed to finish it in one attempt.Cruise: In this mode, you do nothing but explore around the cities. You get to race around a circuit track for a number of laps (three, four, etc.). Even with the mistakes I made, everything mostly went well.Circuit: The final race mode. There isn't much else to say about this race mode.Checkpoint: This mode is like a series of one-way races. To make sure that I fully manage to complete the races, I made sure that the vehicles I was driving had the right amount of horsepower and speed.

I think the rest of this mode speaks for itself.Blitz: In this mode, it's up to the player to reach the final checkpoint before the clock strikes zero. The missions aren't too complex (except a few), but on some lessons it took several attempts to complete them. Now for the level-by-level comments:Crash Course: This is the mode where you practice some driving skills in a London Cab (London) and a Ford Mustang Fastback (San Francisco). This game was to be played online via the MSN Gaming Zone, but its support was discontinued in 2006 because online support for the classic and CD-ROM games were completely discontinued at that time. You get to drive on two real-world locations: San Francisco and London. There are twenty vehicles to drive: the 1999 Ford Mustang GT, the Ford Mustang Fastback, the Ford F-350, the Freightliner Century, the Cadillac Eldorado, the American LaFrance Fire Truck, the Panoz GTR-1, the Aston Martin DB7 Vantage, etc. This is another one of my favorite non-HE games of all time. This is Midtown Madness 2, developed by Angel Studios (now known as Rockstar San Diego) and released by Microsoft in 2000. Here is a walkthrough of a Midtown Madness series game.
